BHS Library has subscriptions to some periodicals*, but there is heavy demand for some titles, with many being used to support multiple areas of the curriculum. 

Donations of recent issues of the following magazines will be gratefully accepted. 

• Creative arts magazines, including art, music, dance, poetry, design, architecture and Vogue magazine

• National Geographic, issues published within the last two years only please)

• Wildlife conservation magazines, such as BBC Wildlife, Scottish Wildlife and RSPB publications

• BBC History

• Social justice and economic development  magazines, such as The New Internationalist and The Economist

• Science magazines, such as New Scientist and Astronomy.

* The library does not already have subscriptions to all of the above periodicals.

In addition, the library can always make use of Past Papers and Leckie & Leckie study guides. 

BHS pupils and families are also reminded that the school will always willingly accept return of its' textbooks (even if they were issued to former pupils). 

All donations can be delivered to the school library, or left at the school reception desk, and marked "Library".
