History S2 – S6
History remains a popular and developing subject at
Balfron
High School.
Taught in S1 as part of the social subjects course, History is then
studied in S2 during two block rotations.
Pupils have a chance to choose to continue to study History is S3 and S4
as part of a two year Standard Grade course.
In S5, Higher History is offered to anyone with a good pass in History,
(or another social subject) in S4; and finally for those who have passed Higher
History, there is a chance to test yourself in an exciting Advanced Higher
course in S6. For details of all of
