AIM OF COURSE

This course shows how Physics

1. relates to the world around us.

2. has improved the quality of life.

3. is of great importance in modern technology.

COURSE CONTENT

The pupils study three topics during the session - Forces, Electricity and Telecommunication.  These topics are investigated by pupil experiment wherever possible.  Class discussion of these experiments then leads to knowledge of the vocabulary, principles and thought processes of Physics.  Great emphasis is placed throughout the course on the application of Physics.

ASSESSMENT

This consists of end-of-topic tests. All testing is designed to assess both the ability to recall facts and the ability to solve problems using Physics principles.
