How to type accents on your PC

To create letters with accents on your computer, you hold down the Alt key on your keyboard and at the same time type in either the 4 or the 3 digit number below on your numeric keypad (right-hand side of keyboard).

e.g. to type à, hold down Alt key and type in no. 0224 or 133 on numeric keypad at the same time. (If one number doesn't work - try the other one)

[NB: Some computer keyboards have their own system.  This can usually be accessed by clicking on 'Insert' and then 'Symbol'.  This should let you insert each accented letter, but should also show you the shortcut for your particular keyboard]
