Advanced Higher
Mathematics
extends the Algebra, Calculus and Vector work from Higher and
introduces new topics such as simple Number Theory and Complex
Numbers

The nature of the homework will vary
depending on the topic being studied and may consist of: |

Advanced Higher level. pupils are expected to undertake the
work necessary to ensure fluency in each topic and to complete
all work issued in class.

· Pupils
will be expected to plan the revision of completed work and
the learning of Mathematical facts and processes. |

are strongly encouraged to look over work done in class after
each lesson to ensure familiarity
and to seek prompt
clarification of any problem areas

consolidate knowledge of basic facts and techniques can be found
on number of websites such as the Bitesize revision site for
KS2 and KS3 - see web links section of the school website;

side of the front page;
www.mathcentre.co.uk - revision of all topics
and basic number skills. Other useful websites are notified to
pupils and posted around the Mathematics area in school and can
be seen by pupils every time they come to Mathematics. Computer
access is always available to pupils outwith class times e.g. at
lunchtimes. |
