Points to note:

  • The dates in this guide are provisional. Some changes may be necessary once the whole school calendar has been released. An updated schedule will be provided for Term 2 if necessary.

  • The Department sets the highest target for each candidate based on previous attainment. However, where a candidate is not meeting the pass criteria for a particular level, the candidate will be entered for a more appropriate level. This decision will be made in December by which time a considerable amount of assessment evidence will be available from: Personal Study/Close Reading/Two literature blocks.

  • Estimates of performance will be submitted to the SQA by the end of February based on the hard evidence of the prelim plus the completion of at least two units.
