Reading - Poetry

  • Themed poems to be sourced, e.g. Guy Fawkes etc.

Outcome: Selection of the pupils’ own poems

  • 'A Christmas Carol' - drama/abridged version (to be sourced)

Outcome: Critical Evaluation

Writing – various (related to ‘A Christmas Carol’)

E.g. invites, newspaper reports/reports, interviews

Outcome: At least one piece of functional writing

  • Theatre visit to see 'A Christmas Carol'?

Talk/Listening - Group presentations on a traditional Victorian Christmas
