S1 and S2 Drama

AIMS OF COURSE

The Drama Course in S1 and S2 aims to develop skills necessary to work effectively with others, responding constructively to their suggestions and to encourage students to express themselves creatively through language and movement with the ability to give dramatic form to ideas.

1. To build  confidence.

2. To encourage the ability to work together constructively.

3. To encourage the ability to articulate verbally and communicate physically in role.

4. To develop pupils’ evaluation skills.

COURSE CONTENT

Course content includes :

Exercises in observation. 

Mime with and without music.

Building up scenes in character from scenarios.  

Improvisation and role play.

Dance Drama.

Script writing.

ASSESSMENT

Continuous Teacher Assessment.   Pupils are also encouraged to assess themselves and the work of their classmates throughout the course.
