Brief description of the principles/rationale of
homework for
ADVANCED HIGHER BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
The course builds on the knowledge and
understanding of business organisations acquired in the Higher Course
with enhancement of the issues of globalisation and ethics in business.
As in the Higher course homework forms the basis
for reinforcement and enhanced understanding of classwork. As in other
Advanced Higher the onus is for the student to be self-evaluating in the
extent of study required to meet the demands of the course. Constant
exposure to the business related articles and programmes in the media is
expected so that discussion about current events, important in the
context of the final exam, can be undertaken during tutorial time.
Reading of the core text to enable supporting questions to be developed
again in preparation for tutorial discussion is also required. There
is also the requirement of an investigation into a business as part of
the course assessment and the preparation for this investigation can
only be done outwith the school.
